Kultura Atelier’s Kasal Spotlights the Modern Filipino Wedding

Beyond the union of two individuals, Filipino weddings are a celebration of growing families, heritage, and time-honored traditions. Culture is expressed to its fullest extent through meaningful rituals, shared experiences, and, now more than ever– through modern renditions of traditional Filipino attire. From gowns adorned with terno sleeves to fresh interpretations of the Barong Tagalog, today’s wedding entourages creatively spotlight heritage and the Filipino identity. Kultura Atelier’s KASAL is a fitting tribute to this evolution, bringing the modern Filipino wedding to life through a conceptual fashion and lifestyle experience.

Co-presented with Mastercard, hosted by SM Aura Premier together with Sarsa, Kultura Atelier launched its designer collections and welcomed guests to a journey involving all aspects of the wedding last June 24. From immersive vignettes of a Bridal Suite and Gentlemen's Lounge featuring the latest designer wedding and eveningwear, to an innovative tablescape, favors and a wedding cake where guests could draw special prizes, each detail was designed to transport attendees to a tasteful, modern Filipino celebration.

Guests also enjoyed a range of experiences throughout the event, including a photobooth, matcha and local liquor bars, personalization station for customized wedding favors, and a flower bar where attendees could create their own bespoke bouquets.

At the heart of the event was the KASAL Fashion Show, marking the launch of Kultura Atelier in Metro Manila– a new expression of heritage and Filipino luxury. The show featured in-house brands Raffaella, Nuevo Ystilo, EN Barong Filipino, Aurea; established and emerging local designers Jor-el Espina, Good Luck, Humans, Harold + Harry, Zarah Juan, Daryl Maat, Fashion Accessories Makers PH, Rodolfo, Philip Rodriguez, Ken Samudio, Little Miss Lacey and Martin Uy.
